Turn off mouse acceleration if you haven’t already Increase your mouse’s DPI while decreasing your sensitivity. Overwatch’s default sensitivity is ridiculous Make sure your sensitivity isn’t too high. A bad monitor with a low refresh rate can hurt your aim Make sure you have enough space to move your mouse. Make sure your mouse is up to snuff, has a good polling rate, etc You could also maybe try to watch replays to see how you aiming… oh and look into how the colition boxes work… because some times if your just going for body blows it can be easier to shoot people in the legs because they have larger colition boxes… I assume you’ve watched a few aim video already so i can only really think of equipment changes… if your mouse any good?
Somethimes throwing hardware at the problem helps…Īlso how is you connection? if you have to much latency that could be a problem… like dont play on servers on the other side of the world if you can avoid it… that sort of thing… On a lower refresh rate monitor you’ll get images that motion blur more and with a lower frame rate you have that any fewer frames to estimate where things are moving to and what speed… It’s a marginal effect but if nothing else works this is likely to at least help a bit… You can always try getting a good frame rate and a high refresh rate monitor… that can give you more visual information to help you judge movment and thus aim better… I’ve changed everything up that I use and still… BAD. I’ve tried every sensitivity and setting. I don’t know if it’s my eyes vs my crosshair, I’ve tried every size, shape and colour. I feel like what’s the point in playing if I struggle to kill anyone? My aim is okay with Soldier76 and decent with McCree, but I have to really try and even then I’m swaying like a drunk sailor.

Someone told me it’s likely my age? I’m 26 and he said my odds of improving are drastically lower than someone else, especially considering I didn’t play PC fps games until I was 22. … my aim is better than it was 4 years ago, but it’s not good enough and I really cannot seem to improve at all. I love to play but I’m hardstuck in gold, or sometimes silver (I’m almost always gold on my accounts, or sometimes plat) but I can feel myself smashing into a dense cinderblock ceiling because of my aim. It might sound stupid but it’s actually really getting me down. I hover between 26-53% accuracy with 31-44 being average for most games as DPS or other roles that require aim. I can miss the most obvious shots but sometimes my aim is decent. My aim is stopping me from climbing, regardless of role.
